White-label when your client should never meet me. Co-branded when you want me in the room.
I’m Johan R., a senior Drupal developer with more than ten years on complex platforms. Two US agencies already work with me this way. One handed me the ongoing maintenance of their most demanding client portfolio. The other embeds me in their team on a large US public research university’s Drupal estate.
Long-running maintenance of a client portfolio, or a scoped build inside your team — on your tooling, your process, your ticket system.
Technical rescue.
An inherited Drupal platform nobody wants to touch, a stalled upgrade, a backlog that keeps growing. This is the work most people decline. It’s the work I’d rather have.
How we can structure it
Scoped projects.
Fixed deliverable, fixed price, quoted after a paid audit.
Monthly retainer.
Guaranteed availability, one month’s notice either way.
Prepaid hours.
A block of time drawn down as needed. The lowest-commitment way to start — one site, hourly, no minimum.
Rates are quoted per engagement and not published.
You stay the single point of contact
I don’t appear in your client’s tickets, their invoices, or their inbox unless you put me there.
Some of the work below is described without naming the client, because my agreements require it. Yours would be handled the same way.
What I’ve been trusted with
Cinequest Film Festival.
Full build and continuous maintenance since 2018 — cinequest.org and picturethepossibilities.org. Multi-step donor and passholder webforms, festival passes and ticketing, sponsor management, and the traffic peaks a festival calendar brings. Picture The Possibilities runs across eleven cities worldwide.
An eleven-site portfolio, maintained continuously for a US agency.
Six distinct business models, not one template repeated: a professional order’s member portal with SAML/OneLogin single sign-on and a SharePoint extranet; a trilingual cultural venue with online ticketing and a shop; a social housing platform with tenant workflows, waiting lists and public procurement; a regional waste-management authority serving twelve municipalities; an accredited certification body issuing compliance attestations to eighty members; and a 3,000-product consumer brand catalogue. Drupal 10 and 11.
Embedded senior support on a large US public research university’s Drupal estate.
Seven sites, an in-house design system, a central web team. Custom modules, theming, migrations and integrations — including knowledge-base synchronisation between the university’s service platform and its IT sites over JSON:API and OAuth — plus ADA conformance remediation on the medical school and clinical practice sites.
A Drupal 10 → 11 upgrade, in progress.
For an American art and design college. Running now, not last year.
How I work
Based in Antananarivo, Madagascar — UTC+3. Your mornings overlap with my afternoons, and work moves while your team sleeps. Full working-day overlap with European clients.
Async-first: I write things down. Composer-managed codebases, staging before production, and a regression check before anything ships.
The admin, before you ask
W-8BEN on file. All work is performed outside the United States, so no Form 1099-NEC and no Chapter 3 withholding. Invoicing in USD.
